| Message text Its clear, even to my comparable less experience on this site, that there are scenarios where experienced and/or lousy players set up a scenario purely to enhance their kill ratios. I see that one scenario where the Hab fights 4 Nieuport 17s. Kill at least 2 before going down and well you are a 2 - 1 kill to death. There are others that are unbalanced clearly.
Now I disagree TNT with the notion that someone will become discouraged after joining one of these "unbalanced" scenarios, get shot down, and never come to this site again. If someone actually does what you suggest above, then they were not really interested in WW1 aviation to begin with nor would Blue Max hold their attention for very long.
As I mentioned to you, I played BM with my 25 or so 1/72nd scale plastic planes. I also have a DVII radio control plane. I would suggest that most of you guys that come here knew quite a bit about WW1 aviation before coming - correct me if I am wrong. I also would expect someone with some interest in the subject to know something about the abilities of various planes. Therefore, a new player with some semblance of understanding, should know whether they are getting into an inferior model or not. I certainly knew looking at the scenarios right away which games were "sucker" bets. |
