I think this is a fine site and I'm grateful to be able to play. I am very new on this site so forgive me for boldly bringing up an idea to all of you grizzled veterans.
I'm curious if there is a way that pilot skills could be integrated. Perhaps a new ladder could be formed for current players that takes into account KILLS WHILE STAYING ALIVE. My idea would be as follows:
1) Have a list from a designated starting date for all players. When a a player accumlates 5 kills from your starting point/date without being killed in any game, Allow this person a "ACE" pilot skill per the rules. You can designate which if any they can take in a certain order.
2) Once a player dies in any game, he is removed from the list and starts over again. This would prevent players accumulating and keeping their ace skills and becoming too tough.
3) Maintain this list posted in your statistic section showing all current aces that are still alive.
4) Players that are able to stay alive get a second ACE skill at 10 kills, another at 15 kills, and so on until they would have them all.
5) I think such an addition would create some excitement as certain players are "gunned for" etc..
6) I think it would create alot of excitement in your Blue Max community as players eagerly click the current Ace list to see if someone is still there or has been shot down.
7) The only downside I can think of is the number of challenges one might recieve if they become legendary - simply limit the number of challenges one receives.
I know this is a radical idea but I believe it is consistant with the rules and deserves to be considerred for integration into your fine online site. I have played Blue Max for a long time with 1/72 planes and this idea works well and creates excitement. It has worked well in campaigns. Please consider my ideas, post your ideas, and again, I hope I have not ruffled any feathers - thanks!
