Message text "Wing Man" tourney.
This will be tourney will use a 4-plane scenario, "High noon (D.XII revenge) - mixed version" (Spad XIII and N28 versus two Pfalz XIIs.) Advancement is not based on individual score, but on the combined score of both players on the team, thus encouraging more realistic cooperation. So, even if you get shot down, you could still advance if you helped your team enough. (Which is what a wingman *should* do ...)
Don't sign up if you can't make several moves per day.
Scenario: High noon (D.XII revenge) - mixed version. 4 Players Board: 12 x 10 Version: Standard Position: Default (starting adjacent to wingman)
Players: 16 Teams: 8 Rounds: 3 (quarterfinal, semifinal, final)
Time Limit: 2 weeks per round. End: Friday Feb 3, Feb 17, Mar 3 @ ~0300 UTC. In USA that is Thursday Feb 2, Feb 16, Mar 2 @ 2200 Eastern / 2100 Central / 2000 Mountain / 1900 Pacific.
If players sign up quickly, then the first round may last a bit longer than two weeks. The end dates are firm. End time is approximate. (When I get from work.
Team with highest *combined* score advances. If a round is not completed, the team that has the leading *combined* score advances. If the *combined* score is even, the team with the most kills, advances. If the teams are even on points and kills, I'll flip a coin. (Sorry.) If a team, or a player on a team, is slacking, the other team advances regardless of score or kills. (Don't sign up if you can't make several moves per day.)
If I talked to you privately, you get first crack at a spot. Slackers need not apply.
Once 16 players have signed up, they will be randomly paired. The teams will then be randomly assigned their planes, and randomly matched up with another team. Teams will stay intact throughout the tournament. Sides will be randomly assigned for each successive round, as it is possible all Allies, or all Axis may advance. Matchups are randomly determined for each successive round. (There is no "bracket", to prevent fixing results based on who you would meet in the next round.)
