Stats are just numbers, we have seen that can be easily "cheated", and anyway are subject to a great deal of influences (number of players per scenario, kind of scenario played, standard or advanced game etc etc).
So I think that if Gladiatore is being voted as best player, it is because (beside stats!) people DO think is a great pilot, and they think this because of their direct experience of games played with and/or against.
I think and hope that every pilot who has voted for this award, has done so by expressing his/her personal point of view, not just looking at the stats and thinking "Gladiatore is over the top, so he MUST be great and I will vote him!!!"
