Actually that was done to keep a similar interface for both the game versions, but I can see your point.
We will anyway wait for some other comments before deciding.
on the other side, the "preview" option when selecting a card, will avoid lots of stupid mistakes that we all have done from time to time...
I am sure I will be able to make stupid mistakes even with the preview on the map, but I hope a bit less often than before 
There is even another big improvement that I simply forgot to cite in the previous news. Now the Cartagena Game Engine knows if you are unable to make any move and, in that case, gives you only the possibility to completely lose your turn.
It's an very unusual case, but until now there was no way to exit from a such situation without sending us an email.
