I wish I'd been the guy who bid $10 on it, just to be included!
At the WWI Fly-in in Dayton a couple weeks ago there was a flying repro of the Fokker D-VIII/E-5. It had a N.28 engine in it and sounded wonderfully (and smelled good too). Looking at it, I remember the Blue Max movie and felt like this ebay plane (which I was offended by as a child because I knew it was not "accurate" for WWI) was trying to pretend to be a D-VIII, especially when the wing broke off in the movie (since I knew that happened with early D-VIII's.)
Thanks for sharing.
Were you doing an ebay search for "Blue Max" and delighted when this showed up?
