| | Message text Let's think about luck when it applies to war. Two examples. What if the Japanese had been lucky and caught the American Carriers in Pearl Harbor when the attack occurred? Or what if the Americans did not, by pure dumb luck, happen to catch the Japanese carriers with no fighter cover and a deck full of bombs and torpedoes? Two simple bits of chance in the middle of thousands of hours of detailed planning by exceptionally experienced military minds might have determined the outcome of the whole bloody war. Scary.
Luck is a fact of life. Sometimes it is good, and sometimes it is bad...but it is always there. |
