The clones were just tools to get records he could brag about. And since his name is still prominent in the stats lines, he will be compelled to keep it there or move it up.
There will be new clones, and these will not be so easy to spot.
His vanity did him in the last time-- he wanted it to look like he was beating "real people" with real records and good reputations so he made a close copy of their names, without realizing how silly (and suspicious) it would look having nearly identical names in the same game.
This time (if he learned anything) he will take brand new names-- or maybe dopples he has been playing with for some time while the spineless name got a rest.
But rest assured, he will do it again. He never faced up to the reality of his cheating and he paid no price for it. And other people are already posting threads talking about "records," so the old lure will have new temptations.
I wish I had a Monty Python joke for this situation. (And I'd like to do the "Fish Dance" on his face! Or maybe send him to the Department of Abuse.) |
