My work computer is showing this behavior after an overnight Windows update earlier this week. The forum topics are run together and various information fields are skewed. I've also experienced problems with a low-tech browser zombie game, urbandead.com. Nothing has changed at home, so I don't know that You Play It can be expected to do anything if they aren't experiencing it themselves. I am not the admin of this site ( but I am a Senior Developer in .NET ). Some questions before anyone can help? What is your computer operating system? Win XP, Win Vista, Win 7, Win 8. iOS? What browser are you using and version? Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc.? I could hook you up with my work system's IT department, but I don't think I want a probe into my game play there. I'm just curious if any others had a recent change in behavior. You should be able to tell with ease what operation system you are running in. And which browser you are using. That aside Internet Explorer tends to have strange issue with this site in the past. Firefox is not as snappy as Chrome. Even my 85 years old father can tell me most of the answers, he probably cannot tell the version numbers. --- Message edited by dcr66 * sigh * If you had read my first post on this topic you would have noticed I mentioned a Windows update. Windows 7, Internet Explorer 10, both home and at work. All was fine before the Windows update on my work computer. Now this site and others have altered formatting. At work only. Not at home. It's not something I expect you, You Play It, or my IT department to fix. I'm just curious as to others' experiences. Thanks for the report, I'm not seeing wrong right now, but Ill keep my eyes open, If anyone one else is seeing this please let me know. Also a screen shot of whatever is wrong can help a lot.
The only thing affecting gameplay is just a little annoying, and difficult to show much in a screen shot. At home, and before at work, on the Blue Max hex map I can mouse over an aircraft symbol and get the "Plane Informations" box which is a copy of that player's "Planes Status."
On my work computer only, mousing over the aircraft now shows nothing for any player. I can scroll down to the "Planes Status" display and make a mental note of which plane belongs to whom and what their last move was, but, mental notes for an old fart are prone to errors.
Another something new at work is signing in to a passworded site (including here.) As I start to enter my screen name an "X" appears at the end of the field. And when I start the password entry, a symbol looking like an eye appears at the end of that field. So I am willing to accept that my company's security protocols may be my problem, which really means playing at work is my problem. |
