In one of my older games, involving auto-move pilots, my plane was set "on fire" early on, but my plane did not seem to be taking any damage, nor was I prohibited from tailing or shooting at opposing planes. Not that I was complaining or anything.
However, after auto-move kick-started the game, on one particular turn I attempted to do a restricted manuever, but was denied the ability to do so, even though my plane had not received any special damages that prohibited such a maneuver.
Curious, I emailed the Webmasters regarding this game, requesting clarification as to why I was shown as being on fire, yet sustaining no damage, etc., and why I was prohibited from executing restricted maneuvers, even though my plane did not have any special damages in that regard. I assumed that the "fire" that I had incurred early on was actually a special damage forbidding restricted maneuvers.
The Webmasters responded by stating that they had have fixed the relevant bug, restored the fire to my plane and the ability of my plane to do restricted maneuvers. If I remember correctly, I believe the term the webmasters used was "well deserved fire ".
Wouldn't ya know it, the first turn the "restored fire" inflicts damage to my plane, that damage is sufficient to knock my plane down!
