| Message text Does everyone understand what that subject line means?
Or other lines like, "Want to finish this game TODAY."
"Want to conclude scenario in the next two hours"
I'm sure there are other ways of stating the desired objective.
You know what you want-- some steady blue max where you will make 20 or 30 turns without leaving the site, all on one game.
And you're open to playing anyone who wants to join (except of course for the clone giants).
But how many times do we post these sorts of desires and people ignore the request, don't notice it, don't speak English well enough..or something.
Actually, in my experiences the "didn't speak English well enough" has never come up-- I'm just creating a reason which would MAKE SENSE. But that does not seem to be the issue-- the person either speaks English well enough or is a NATIVE English speaker. He just finally answers, "Oh, I did not notice" or something like that. So he joined a game without bothering to read the description-- which is posted in bold-faced print.
Okay, I know it's too much to ask the webmasters to program to avoid stupidity or carelessness, but while we are putting forward our desires and hopes, is there some additional "button" we could add to the scenario creation list which would post a symbol on the scenario description- a symbol for FAST GAME- DON'T JOIN IF YOU DON'T MEAN TO PLAY TO CONCLUSION RIGHT NOW. ?
And for that matter, since we have to fill in a password to join password games-- maybe a category of games-- "fast games" as a distinct category-- in which a player would have to click on some sort of "button" when joining the scenario?
Text might be: "This scenario was created as a "fast game." Do you understand that the creator only wants people to join in who expect to play the game to conclusion right now? And a box or button they have to click that says, "I understand."
Any ideas or comments?
