I have the impression that it only works occasionally. I'll try to explain how automove works.
Automove starts when a player stops playing for 30 days in a specific game while it's his turn. That player then becames an automoving player, but ONLY for that game.
For example it can be possible that a player stops playing in a game (let's say it is the game A), but chooses to end another game he was already playing (the game B). Alfter another 10 days, that player decides that he doesn't want to play anymore, and stops playing even game B. In Game A that player will start automoving after 30 days since his last move in game A. In game B automove will start after 30 days since the last move in game B (so, 10 days after the automove starting in game A).
There is another occurrence that could happen. After the last player moved, the game reset all players last move date to that day. This is done for every player in that game. The reason for this is easy to understand: even if another player made you wait for 29 days for his move, you still must have 30 days to make your move in the turn hereafter. So, if Player A is the last one who has to move, after 30 days he start automoving. In the meantime player b could be disappeared too, but he anyway has another 30 days to move, even if in another game he is already automoving.
On the "My Games" page you can see old players appearing, but not one every minute. So I think the auto move program is bugging. Another explanation is needed here. Automove happens again after 24 hours since last automove. This is the reason not every minute there are automoving players. The timed procedure move only a game player per minute, starting by the one who doesn't move since more time (but it has to be not less than 24 hours).
This doesn't means we are completely sure that automove works flawlessly , but since now it seems ok. Anyway there could be strange cases we were not able to check (for example an automoving players who is waiting for tail), and here is where your comments can be precious. If you think there is some game where automove should have been started, and has not, let us know via email, giving us the exact game number and the not-automoving player name, so that we can check it.
This site is a continuous work-in-progress and is growing thanks to you all.
