It's a game, and simulates air battles, not the war. Since there is no campaign aspect, nobody cares if you bring back your plane home or not. And nobody will mourn your death , or praise your victory , behalve yourself and fellow players in that particular game. You can still join the next game without any bonus or malus, the only thing you get is some fame among fellow players. If you are a statistic geek , then run away. If you want some fun, some thrill about trying to be a hero in a hopeless situation, to try your luck and outguess your opponents, stay and fight until the fun is gone (or one of fuel, engine, manoeuvers) If you were given the chance to play a tennis match against Kournikova, would you forfeit because you know you'd loose, or go for the fun of it ? |
