What about an option, available during the game creation phase to halve the points if you retire, even using your side ?
Any comments ?
Nick.
I think that nobody else will fly Fokkers then. What about halving points only when leaving with more than 10 fuel left or without any serious damage (ie: no special maneuvers allowed or no 3-4-speed)?
IMHO when you're still dogfighting with only 10 fuel left, you're seriously risking to get empty ahead of your enemies' guns. And even to fly at 1-2 speed with low speed planes gives you no chance to outmaneuver an enemy coming from your tail. More, many fast planes have very little chances to point their nose at the enemy, if they can't make anymore a special turning maneuver. Last of all, remember of when your rudder is stuck on the wrong side and you're near the edge of the map.
But, apart of technical matters, I think that any consideration made just to punish a player for his performance in the game, is very very sterile.
Don't forget please that Blue Max is only a game. If somebody feels that other players (players, not pilots!) could harm or offend him by simply abandoning a game with their planes intact, maybe he should turn off the PC and get out more often for a bicycle ride.
