Message text I've been seeing a lot of new faces over on the test site, which is good, but I wanted to pass along a couple things.
First, since it's a test site, the main emphasis now is on testing Advanced rules and balance for several new scenarios before they go to the main site. As such, you may be asked or have the opportunity to sacrifice a rake, boarding party, movement, etc. Wins and losses on the test site DO NOT COUNT here on the main site, so you lose nothing by getting blown away over there.
Also, the forum is a little different. All the testing stuff is discussed under the WSIM section's "Bugs and Improvements" forum. BlueDragon is great about responding to suggestions and fixing problems, so speak up if you notice something that might be a problem.
