However, the pilot did die from being hit by an opponent (albeit belatedly). How is that different from getting your tail/wing/fuselage shot out or a PK or explosion, which are instant?
In not all leagues do you die instantly from PK or explosion.
The pilot died eventually from the hit but that hit did not shoot the plane down. The fire brought the plane down. Which is why it does not count as a kill. Ergo in my mind for LEAGUE scoring it should not be a -1. Like I said, I thought this was discussed long ago when they implemented leagues here.
If it does count as such it wouldn't be the first thing I have disagreed with in league scoring.
