I suspect most people prefer to race around in Camels, Tripes, Albatross VII's and so on - but let's see the Harry Tate (RE.8) up there taking on the best the hun has to offer. And if I am not much mistaken all of the aircraft charts already exist in Canvas Eagles.
Regards,
Neil Canvas Eagles does indeed of plane data for most of the planes flown during the war. In order to keep things in balance, I'd think we'd need to restrict ourselves to those planes available in the Late War, which actually includes quite a few of the early war period planes, but not all of them obviously. The problem being, there are different sheets for planes based on the period, and those planes only flying in the later period wouldn't sync right with those only flying in the early period. markrendl Another good idea to make the game better that gets torpedoed. What a joke. This sight sux. Uh, it wasn't a torpedo, merely a suggestion on selecting early period planes which also flew in the late period, so to keep compatible with our current set. regards, markrendl Hi Mark, Yes I can see how it makes life difficult and there would be some room for confusion between early war variants of the same aircraft and later variants. I guess this would have to be be tackled by: a. Having effectively two different aircraft with similar look/ name but with different move charts. b. Scenarios that determine which version of the aircraft is used dependant on date. This might mean re-working existing scenarios which I can see would be a huge amount of work. Was just an idea. Guess I'll have to resort to CE for my early war fix! Regards, Neil
I don't know if this would work but what if we just installed another game on the Home Screen. Add it to the "Vampiring, WSIM, Gonzaga, BM, ect." as a seperate game option. Probably couldn't call it BM, the Early Years and would no doubt negotiations with Phil Hall would be needed in any case.
