Played WoW when it first came out, and although it was a solid game it was destined to spend more time on the shelf than the table. Unfortunately, shortly before WoW Miniatures came out, I had invested in 1:72 planes for Canvas Eagles. If I hadn't, I'd be all over the WoW Minis to play both WoW and CE. WoW Minis has been pretty popular locally, but I haven't had the time to get into a session yet.


Of course the rules in the boxed set are redundant the second you get them out as the authorised version is on the website - but then there are more than one set of rules on there dependent upon the boxed set you bought - balloon version, deluxe version, end of war version, bomber version.

All in all they destroyed a good game by publishing different versions of the rules with each set - and then publishing different versions again on the website.

Played it a lot at my local club then gave up in disgust owing to discussions over which rules to use.

Use the miniatures now to play Blue Max on the table top. Got a blue cloth, made a template and got a can of spray paint.

Much more fun.
