December 24th 2012: New ownership
Hello, I'm Jim Bourke, the new owner of youplay.it.
I know change can be a bit scary at times. I hope I can earn your trust the way Nicola has over his many years of service to this community.
There is nothing about the site that is changing in the near future. Please continue enjoying it as you have.
I'm not totally up to speed on who volunteers to do what around here so if you have some responsibilities and would like to continue them please do so and also send me a message and introduce yourself.
I have set aside a small budget for bug fixes and extensions to the games. I also have a couple of new games I hope to bring to the site. If you are able to assist with development please contact me.

December 15th 2012: A new owner for youplay.it
Dear youplayers,
We have reached an agreement to sell the site to Jim Bourke, owner of RCGroups.com and Knife Edge Software, and boardgame enthusiast. As the change of guidance becomes operational, you'll begin to see some changes in the forum moderation and in other aspects of the site.
We'd like to thank all the players who gave us support, who helped us in forum moderation, in software development, in debugging, reporting, maintenance, system administration.
Thanks to those who designed new scenarios or new planes, to those who helped us by suggesting new ideas or posting harsh but honest comments.
I really special thank goes to Imdog for his tireless watchful eye on the forum,
to BlueDragon that has turned a beta game into a complete one. His work on WS&IM has really changed the game,
to Phil Hall, for letting us use his fantastic Blue Max participating in the development of the online version,
to FourthApache that designed the site interface and rewrote the foundation routines of the site.
On march 24th 2013 the site will turn 10 years, ready for a brand new chapter in its journey.
