No, you lost. If you change the victory conditions to who has the last ship, as you stated, then, the Fremch have almost no chance. Thus the points, the one side has far more ability to win, so, the points are an attempt to balance it out. I find the scenario reasonably fair when using the points.
Some disagree on this as they are accustomed to last ship standing. Think of it this way, I make a scenario, you have 1,000 guys, I have 1. My one kills 5 of yours, and, you kill my one. Who outplayed who? Yes, the 995 guys left "win", but, it's more a measure of who played better than winning per se. |
